What we collect
- Your home profile: optional street address, ZIP, number of people, square footage and whether you have a pool.
- Bills you add: provider, bill type, month, amount, usage, service dates, plan and line items.
- Usage files you import (for example daily kWh readings).
- If you request an invite: your name, email, street and ZIP.
How bills are read
When you upload a bill photo or PDF, it is sent to Anthropic's Claude API to extract the amounts and usage. You review the result before anything is saved. The in-app helper and monthly insights also use Claude with your bill figures. We do not sell your data.
Neighbor comparisons
Comparisons show only medians and ranges, and only when at least 5 other homes have data for that bill and month. Other users never see your address, name or individual bills. A public share card is off by default; if you turn it on it shows only comparison headlines and general home size, never your address.
Where data is stored
Data is stored in a Postgres database hosted by Neon and the app is hosted on Vercel, both in the United States. Sign-in uses a secure, HTTP-only cookie.
Your choices
You can delete individual bills in the app at any time. To delete your whole account or waitlist entry, contact the person who invited you or reply to your invite email and we will remove it.
