SnapMyBill FAQ
SnapMyBill is an invite-only home bill tracker for Griffin, Georgia (ZIP 30224). Here is how it works.
What is SnapMyBill?
SnapMyBill is a web app that keeps all of a household's recurring home bills in one place (electric, water, sewer, trash, gas, internet, security, lawn care and more), shows usage and cost trends, and compares each bill anonymously with similar homes nearby.
Who can use SnapMyBill?
SnapMyBill is invite-only and currently open to homes in Griffin, Georgia (ZIP code 30224). You need an invite code and PIN to sign in. If you don't have one, you can request an invite on the home page.
Which bills does SnapMyBill support?
Any recurring home bill can be entered. It has specific support for City of Griffin utilities (electric, water, sewer, storm water, garbage, yard waste), natural gas marketers such as Constellation, internet providers such as AT&T, home security monitoring, and flat services like lawn care.
How do bills get into SnapMyBill?
You can snap a photo or upload a PDF of a bill and Claude, an AI model from Anthropic, reads the amounts, usage and service dates for you to review before saving. You can also type a bill in by hand.
What does 'transparency' mean in SnapMyBill?
SnapMyBill breaks each bill into usage charges, fixed charges and taxes, and works out your effective price, such as cents per kWh, dollars per therm of gas or dollars per GB of internet data, so you can see what you actually pay per unit and how it changes month to month.
How do neighbor comparisons work?
For each month and bill type, SnapMyBill compares your bill with the median and middle 50% of similar homes in 30224, matched on square footage, household size and whether the home has a pool. A comparison only appears when at least 5 other homes have data for that month.
Can my neighbors see my bills or address?
No. Neighbors never see your address, name or individual bills. Comparisons show only aggregate figures (medians and ranges) from groups of 5 or more homes. Sharing a public summary card is off by default and opt-in.
Is SnapMyBill connected to the City of Griffin or my utility?
No. SnapMyBill is an independent app and is not affiliated with the City of Griffin, Constellation, AT&T or any other provider. It uses the bills you add.
